Welcome to Little Clarion Montessori School's Primary Montessori Program for children ages 3 to 6. This preschool program supports the natural development of each child through a prepared Montessori environment that encourages independence, curiosity, confidence, and love for learning.
The Primary Montessori Program recognizes that every child has unique interests, abilities, and learning rhythms. Our directresses guide each child through purposeful hands-on activities while supporting social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth.
Key features of the Primary Montessori Program include:
- Prepared environment: The classroom is carefully arranged to promote independence and purposeful learning. Montessori materials are organized into Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural areas.
- Montessori materials: Children learn through self-correcting materials that support movement, concentration, fine motor skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Mixed-age grouping: Children ages 3 to 6 learn together, allowing younger students to learn from older peers while older students strengthen confidence and leadership by helping others.
- Individualized learning: Children are guided according to their interests, readiness, and developmental needs. Teachers observe each child and provide lessons at the right moment.
- Independence and responsibility: Children are given freedom within limits, helping them make choices, care for their environment, and build self-discipline.
- Practical life skills: Pouring, dressing, cleaning, food preparation, and grace-and-courtesy activities help children develop coordination, concentration, order, and confidence.
- Holistic development: The program nurtures the whole child by supporting intellectual, social, emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual growth.
Through the Primary Montessori Program, children develop the foundations they need for lifelong learning: independence, curiosity, respect, concentration, and joyful discovery.
