At first, it was proximity to where we lived, and some neighbours' children were going to LCMS, so we decided to try it. We had looked at other schools nearby, and although we wished for more outdoor time for Miko, the spaciousness of LCMS was worth a try.
We quickly noticed the growth of our son. We saw the care and treatment of Miko in school, the creative and varied learning methods, and the skills he attained within each short session. You really put a great deal of effort into everyday lesson plans.
When we least expected it, an outdoor school trip to an animal farm came up. He enjoyed it so much that we took him back there twice as a family.
Then there was the Lion King themed performance, a grand finale to a superb year of schooling. An African-themed recital showed us that the school is inclusive and diverse.
LCMS has given Miko something to look forward to every day. It provided an early opportunity to begin interacting with children his age through storytelling, dance, world art, and even more complex concepts such as learning about the planets at 2 years old.
He gained a noticeable surge in vocabulary and an understanding of routine, including circle time, classroom songs, prayer, removing shoes, placing them on the shelf, and wearing them again. He learned to follow instructions within group dynamics.
The attentive staff, constant updates, religious background, and treatment of children as genuine human beings whose individual needs are acknowledged have greatly built Miko's confidence and taught him to be less shy.
All this has resulted in an easy choice to send Miko's brother Hugo to LCMS.
We are convinced LCMS is the best choice for any child and wish to be a child again so we can experience early learning the LCMS way.
